1. Who we are
Playdle is operated by Horacio Franceschini ("we", "us"), a sole trader. We act as the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can reach us at horaciofd.97@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect and why
- Account data (email address, login credentials, display name, avatar): to create and secure your account and to let you sign in. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Game data (guesses, scores, streaks, achievements, puzzle history, language preference): to provide the games, keep your progress and build leaderboards. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
- Subscription status (whether your account is Premium, subscription identifiers, status and renewal dates): to give you access to paid features. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
- Support messages you send us: to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests and contract performance.
- Technical and usage data (IP address, device and browser identifiers, pages viewed, error logs): to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the product. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Advertising data: on the free tier, third party advertising cookies and identifiers may be used to serve ads. Legal basis: consent where required.
3. Who we share data with
- Service providers / subprocessors: hosting, database and authentication providers, error monitoring and analytics tools, acting on our instructions.
- Paddle.com Market Ltd, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of subscriptions, payments, subscription management, invoicing, tax compliance and customer service related to orders.
- Advertising partners (Google AdSense) for ads shown to free users.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Retention
We keep account and game data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep records to comply with legal, tax or accounting obligations. Technical logs are kept for a maximum of 12 months.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at the address above and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you may also complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, row-level access controls on our database and restricted administrative access. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Cookies and local storage
We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your language and store guest progress. On the free tier we also use analytics and advertising cookies. You can manage or clear cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com. Premium accounts see no advertising.
9. Children
The service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We may update this notice. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and the date at the top of this page will be updated.
